Here are the newest members of our family. The kids have been wanting pets of their own for a while now. So, for Ethan's birthday this year we decided to let them get some baby rats. For those of you that know me and how much I enjoy having pets, this was just as much for my birthday as well! I know that probably some of you are thinking that rats would not be your first choice, but they really make the best pets, especially as a first pet for kids. They are super friendly, smart, clean, do not bite, are easily tamed, and just a lot of fun to watch. Maisy is not pictured below, but the first picture is of Monkey #1 holding Rosey. Cookie is the darker one that she is holding in the second picture and that Monkey #2 is holding. Maisy is technically Monkey #3's rat, even though they are for all of them to share, and he is a little young to hold her by himself quite yet without being too hyper with her.
